Game day is almost here, so it is time for the staff at Inside Arkansas to make their picks for Saturday’s SEC-opener at Auburn for the Hogs as well as the full SEC weekend slate.
The Razorbacks and Tigers are set for a 2:30 p.m. (CT) kickoff from Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Arkansas is currently a +3.5 underdog, according to the lines at Bet Saracen.

STAFF PREDICTIONS
CURTIS WILKERSON: So far, Arkansas’ season has played out exactly how I expected it to in our preseason predictions: Domination of UAPB, one-score loss at OSU, sloppy win versus UAB. I should just copy/paste my Auburn thoughts from August, but the Tigers rolling with an inexperienced backup quarterback and the anticipation of a bounce back from the Hogs is enough to change my tune and offer the benefit of the doubt one final time. Here’s the positivity folks have asked for on Inside Arkansas Live. 31-24, W
- Mississippi State +6 vs Florida
- Ohio +20 @ Kentucky
- UCLA +24 @ LSU
- Missouri -20.5 vs Vanderbilt
- Tennessee -7 @ Oklahoma
- South Carolina -28 vs Akron
- Texas A&M -22.5 vs Bowling Green
- Ole Miss -36.5 vs Georgia Southern
- UL-Monroe +44.5 @ Texas
Last Week: 7-6 against the spread
ANDREW ELLIS: Arkansas is going into what should be a pretty hostile environment, and the Hogs will almost certainly find themselves in a close game that comes down to one possession. History tells us that we should be extremely concerned for the Razorbacks’ well-being under those circumstances, but I think the edge in this one will go to the team with the more experienced quarterback, the better run game and an opportunistic defense looking to get back on track after a rough outing. 27-24, W

JOHN NABORS: Arkansas is going to do in this game what they always do when playing a tough team on the road in the SEC. The Hogs will come out strong & really take hold of the game in the 1st half. But due to something stupid like a pick six, punt return for a TD, or some random player running into the wrong end zone, the Razorbacks will lose close again. 30-26, L
