Arkansas will host the UTSA Roadrunners at Bud Walton Arena on Dec. 7, with tipoff scheduled for 1 p.m. The Razorbacks are coming off a 76-73 comeback win against Miami in the SEC/ACC Challenge, while UTSA recently fell 82-74 in overtime to Saint Mary’s.
Previewing UTSA
The Roadrunners average 77 points per game while shooting 39.8% from the field, 82.1% from the free-throw line, and 32% from three-point range. Defensively, they tally more than 10 steals and nearly four blocks per game.
Senior guard Primo Spears leads UTSA with 23.7 points and 3.9 assists per game, shooting 43.2% from the field, 33.3% from three, and 86.4% from the free-throw line. Forward Jonnivius Smith anchors UTSA in the paint, averaging 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. In their loss to Saint Mary’s, Spears scored 24 points and added three assists and a steal. Sophomore guard Marcus Millender also contributed 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Previewing Arkansas
The Razorbacks saw strong contributions from their guards in their victory over Miami. Freshman guard Boogie Fland led the way with 18 points, shooting 6-of-13 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range, including scoring Arkansas’ final seven points to secure the win. Fland also tallied four rebounds and six assists.
Transfer guard Johnell Davis provided a spark in the second half against Miami, finishing with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist, and two steals while shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 3-of-6 from three-point range. Guard DJ Wagner added 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, along with five assists, two rebounds, and two steals.
Arkansas’ frontcourt is gradually returning to full strength. All three big men logged at least 12 minutes against Miami, though forward Zvonimir Ivisic appeared to aggravate an ankle injury late in the game. Transfer Jonas Aidoo played a season-high 12 minutes, providing a positive sign for the Razorbacks’ depth.
