Arkansas (4-1) defeated in-state opponent Little Rock (3-3) 79-67 at Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks took control early and never allowed the Trojans to take the lead.
Game Summary
The Razorbacks started strong, displaying defensive intensity as forward Adou Thiero opened the scoring with a steal and layup. Arkansas recorded four steals in the first two minutes and jumped to a 7-0 lead. The defense continued to stifle the Trojans, tallying 10 steals and two blocks in the first half and converting them into 15 points off turnovers.
Despite being without big men Jonas Aidoo and Trevon Brazile, Arkansas dominated in the paint, outscoring Little Rock 24-8 in the first half. However, the Trojans outrebounded the Hogs 18-15. Arkansas built its largest lead at 22 points and went into halftime up 42-24.
In the second half, Little Rock attempted to rally, but Arkansas consistently responded to maintain control. The Razorbacks finished the game with 15 steals and four blocks, converting turnovers into 28 points.
Arkansas shot 47.2% from the field, 29.2% from three-point range, and 81.5% from the free-throw line. Little Rock, which had been a strong shooting team this season, struggled in this matchup, shooting 37.3% from the field, 27.3% from three, and 73.9% from the free-throw line. The Razorbacks secured the 79-67 victory.
Who Stood Out for Arkansas
Adou Thiero was once again outstanding for Arkansas. He led the team in points, rebounds, steals, and tied for the most blocks, finishing with 23 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and two blocks. Thiero was highly efficient, shooting 7-of-9 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Freshman Boogie Fland showcased his versatility, scoring, playmaking, and playing strong defense. He tallied 21 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field, 3-of-5 from three, and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Fland also contributed a team-high seven assists, three steals, and four rebounds.

Arkansas will host Maryland Eastern Shore at Bud Walton Arena on Nov. 25. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST and will air on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
