Game day is almost here, so it is time for the staff at Inside Arkansas to make their picks for Saturday’s primetime matchup against No. 4 Tennessee for the Hogs as well as the full SEC weekend slate.
The Razorbacks (3-2, 1-1 SEC) and Volunteers (4-0, 1-0 SEC) are set for a 6:30 p.m. (CT) kickoff from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
Arkansas is currently a +13.5 underdog, according to the lines at Bet Saracen.

STAFF PREDICTIONS
CURTIS WILKERSON: For Arkansas to pull off a massive upset Saturday, it will need Taylen Green’s best, a much cleaner game when it comes to turnovers and penalties, a significant step forward from the offensive line and a vintage performance from Travis Williams and Co. that includes a couple takeaways. I think the Razorbacks accomplish some, but not all, of those goals, which is why I see Arkansas hanging tough but Tennessee pulling away and covering down the stretch. 38-23, L

ANDREW ELLIS: In Year 1 under Sam Pittman, Arkansas knocked off Tennessee at home. A year later, the Vols hired Josh Heupel and quickly took the program to a whole new level while the Hogs have tread water. There are cases to be made in the Razorbacks’ favor for this matchup, and the Hogs could very well be the toughest test Tennessee has faced this season, but it’s hard to overlook the differing trajectories of each squad in the matchup. 38-21, L

JOHN NABORS: Arkansas will do what they are best at in this game. Playing well, having some good things going, staying in the game, & giving Tennessee all they can handle. But it won’t matter because the Vols will still win. The atmosphere will help energize the Hogs for the first time in two years and they will put on a show for the fans, but sadly won’t be enough. 37-28, L

PEYTON SANDERS: Arkansas will look to establish the run game against the Volunteers, but the Tennessee defensive front will prove to be too much for the Hogs. Nico Iamaleava is the best quarterback the Razorbacks have seen so far this season, and he has a ton of targets to spread the wealth to against a secondary that really struggled the last time it played in Razorback Stadium. 42-21, L
