OL Patrick Kutas

Kutas has been out since the beginning of fall camp with a back injury. After missing the opener, the projected starting O-Lineman underwent imaging last Friday.

Although he is an optimist, Pittman did not sound overly optimistic about the status of Kutas, who is likely out again this weekend.

“I’m an optimist. I don’t know if I’m optimistic about getting him back any time soon. I don’t believe he’ll play this week to be honest with you.”

RB Ja’Quinden Jackson

Jackson was a workhorse for the Razorbacks in Stillwater on Saturday, rushing 24 times for 149 yards and three touchdowns. However, he was helped off the field numerous times and was experiencing severe cramping issues following the game, according to Pittman.

From the sounds of it, Jackson has bounced back well over the past 48 hours.

“He’ll be fine. I thought he would IV after the game and all that, but he didn’t. He’ll be fine.”

DB Hudson Clark

Clark rotated in at safety in the first quarter, but left with what Pittman has called a back injury. He returned for special teams work later in the game, but was unable to contribute defensively.

“Back. He did come back and played special teams, but I don’t think he felt well enough to play defensively. But he did play on kickoff and kickoff return and a few reps on field goal block.

“He’s got a sore back. We went to get an MRI today. As of this time, I haven’t got the results of that. But he came in for treatment yesterday. I love the kid. He was playing really well too on defense. Had a nice pass breakup. We’ll see.”

DB Marquise “Cuddie” Robinson

Robinson was expected to start at Oklahoma State, was dressed out in warmups, but never entered the game and was seen later without pads. As it turns out, he was inactive after sustaining a stinger during pregame warmups.

“He got a stinger and went numb. A lot of times that will come back pretty fast, but it did not. He’ll be out at practice today in green. We’ll stay away from him.

“It was just unfortunate. Hit the wrong way and went numb on one side. But he’s going to be back.”

Other Personnel Notes:

• Pittman confirmed wide receiver Jaedon Wilson will enter the portal as a graduate transfer
• Wide receiver Dazmin James will be suspended for this weekend’s game against UAB due to a violation of team rules
• Pittman needs to continue to see RB Rashod Dubinion practice in full before turning to him in the backfield. He did not receive a carry at Oklahoma State
• Cornerback Jaylon Braxton is working through tendinitis, but is expected to be fine.
• Luke Hasz, who was favoring his back following a late touchdown reception, will be “fine” according to Pittman.
