Diamond Hogs to Host Missouri State for Midweek Game

No. 2 Arkansas will host Missouri State for a midweek game in Baum-Walker Stadium. The Hogs are coming off a dominant series sweep of South Carolina, outscoring the Gamecocks 35-9 over three games. Missouri State is 10-12 on the season, the Bears swept its most recent series against Bradley, scoring 40 runs across three games.

Previewing Missouri State

The Bears are hitting .282 as a team with a .398 on-base percentage. Jake McCutcheon leads Missouri State with a .326 batting average and a team-high seven home runs. Taeg Gollert is tied for the most RBIs on the team with 21 and has a .322 batting average. The Bears have power throughout their lineup, with nine batters recording multiple home runs this season. Missouri State will be patient at the plate, they’ve taken 124 walks in 22 games.
